This Saturday, I will be appearing at the Professional Bull Riders Liftmaster Invitational at the Honda Center in Anaheim. I’ll be at the KKGO Go Country 105 FM booth beforehand. Please feel free to stop by, say hello and introduce yourself. I’ve been a long time fan of Professional Bull Riding as I have been watching it on TV for years. This will be my first time seeing it in person. Already bought my cowboy clothes. Can’t wait!
After doing a lot of research, I don’t sense there will be a lot of DUI / Drunk Driving checkpoints in southern California this Super Bowl weekend. Not sure why but I am sure there will be a lot of police patrolling the streets and freeways. Now for the tip: field sobriety tests are completely voluntary, so people don’t have to do them. Be safe and enjoy the Super Bowl!

Our client was stopped after a 911 call indicating a possible intoxicated driver and was being followed by the reporting party. Officer also observed client fail to signal lane change and client and passenger yelling and singing loudly while flailing their arms outside car windows. Client admitted to drinking about 2 glasses of wine. Officer observed odor of alcohol and bloodshot/watery eyes. Client’s performance was marginal on 4 field sobriety tests. Client was antagonistic, argumentative and talkative during the tests and had to be reminded several times about proper procedure. Client was then arrested for DUI / Drunk Driving. After… Read More
I had an absolutely fabulous time at the D Hotel in Las Vegas for the Heidi & Frank Show which was broadcast live from 6a-10a yesterday. Saw many fans I have come to know over the years as well as met many new fans. Sorry there were no winners for the $10,000 prize I sponsored for the Miami Dice roll. Heidi & Frank fans are some of the most loyal fans ever! Always a pleasure to see Super Fan Mary as well. As soon as I have pictures sent to me, I’ll post them right away.
Our client was stopped for running a red light. Officer observed strong odor of alcohol, red/watery/bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and swaying back and forth. Client failed 4 field sobriety tests having trouble throughout following simple directions. Client admitted to drinking 3 glasses of wine earlier. Client was then arrested for DUI / Drunk Driving. After arrest, client blew a .08/.08. After we advised client to take case to trial, the jury was selected and sworn in. However, the state was unable to proceed because the officer was unable to testify in court. Both driving under the influence of alcohol and… Read More

There is a case pending right now before the US Supreme Court where the issue is the legality of a warrantless forced blood draw in a DUI / Drunk Driving case. Previously, the court held that a blood draw administered in a way that does not shock the conscience of the court is valid. Since then, police agencies have administered countless forced blood draws on people arrested for DUI / Drunk Driving all across the country, especially in California. The government’s argument is that since blood alcohol levels dissipate quickly, obtaining a warrant will delay/interfere with obtaining a blood sample.… Read More
